Paul Campion - Senior Minister
Paul has been serving as Senior Minister of Shirley Baptist Church since November 2007. This present time is especially challenging as Shirley Baptist Church along with all churches finds the best ways of working within and beyond the coronavirus pandemic. Paul is married to Frances, and they have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. For relaxation Paul enjoys reading, cycling and maintaining contact with their family.

He has a degree in Applied Theology from Moorlands College, and before joining us here in Shirley served as a Youth Pastor in West London. Outside of work, Martin has a keen interest in music and theatre, and these skills are well used in his current role.
Jacquie has a degree in Early Years Education from Newman University. She is working part time as Family and Children’s worker, a role which she shares with Martin. They both have a passion for children’s work and youth work, and want to see families grow closer to each other and also in their relationships with God, in both the church and the local community.

Alongside Paul, Amanda, Martin and Jacquie there is a group of Deacons who are elected by the members of the church and who bring servant leadership and formal oversight to the whole life of the church. Each deacon looks after some elements of the life of the church, meeting regularly for discussion and reflection on God's will.
Kairos Coffee is run by a management group from the church, but also employs 3 members of staff who oversee the day to day running of the shop. Clare is the manager, alongside two assistant managers and a team of volunteers.
