Children are a vital part of our church family. So that’s why one of our highest priorities is to nurture, encourage and guide them to grow into young adults our community can be proud of… while making sure they have fun along the way!
So here are the details of the regular activities we provide at to help them on this journey - all meeting at the church.
Junior Family Church
As part of the morning service we provide a programme of activities for 80+ children and young people from babies to 18 years of age. Groups use storytelling, games, craft, video, music and drama to create an enjoyable and age relevant approach to learning the basics of the Christian faith.
There is no need to book, just come along on a Sunday at 10.00am. Usually the children leave after the first 20 minutes for their groups and return after the service around 11.15am. Alternatively, some Sundays we have Kidz Church when the children spend the whole time having fun activities together and there are other times when children and adults share in an all-age service.
There are two fantastic early years groups which meet during the week...
Tiddlywinks - one and a half hours of organised activities aimed at 2 year olds with their parent/carer every Wednesday during term time between 9:45am-11:15am. A typical session will include a range of craft activities - many of which are both messy and fun - as well as songs, stories, refreshments and organised play. Tiddlywinks is an ideal preparation for your child’s transition to pre-school.
Playtime - a parent/carer, baby and toddler group. It offers an opportunity to make friends and enjoy a relaxed playtime with your pre-school children up to nursery age. There are crafts some weeks and drink and biscuit every week! Playtime runs during term time on a Thursday with a choice of sessions - either 9.30am to 11.00am or 1.15pm to 2.45pm.
Please note from time to time all of our toddler groups may run a waiting list. So please ring the office in advance.
Live Wires is a fun and thriving youth club for those in school years 4, 5 and 6. It meets from 6.30pm to 7.30pm on Fridays in term time.
Children socialise and play games – football, hockey, computer games, table tennis, pool etc. There is also the opportunity to get busy with craft activities.
And last, but certainly not least, there is the all-important tuck shop!
